These pages are a way to share my interest in celtic and traditional, folk music with those who want to perform it using acoustic instruments.
I hope to give you information on , alternative tunings for guitar and bouzouki and tips and hints and to steer you towards very low cost demo recording at home
I have chosen to put this site together because there seems to be very little information available for the thousands of ordinary folk who perform and sing but don’t have access to “PRO” recording studios.
This is very much a “leave your ego at the door” place where beginners and newbies may feel relaxed and comfortable.
How many friends have you heard say when you ‘mic up’ it sounds crap!
These are some of the issues I hope to address…technically there has never been a better time to amplify your sound. PA’s are brilliant now compared to even five years ago.
Home recording is another area shrouded in mystery...the fact is most of you reading this now will have a PC or Laptop and are more than capable of producing your own DIGITAL demo….but for now feel free to browse through the site and if you stick around you can get DADGAD guitar info and bouzouki chords etc . Alternative tunings are not just for experts!
I hope you find something here on my pages to inspire you to explore and develop your music.
